Hey there, I’m Travis Shakespeare. I’m an actor, writer, producer and director.

 

As SVP, Unscripted Programming for studios BBC Worldwide Productions and Adjacent Productions, I oversee the creative development and execution of multiple unscripted shows currently in production under both labels including Top Gear (History) and Ladies of London (Bravo). I also serve as Executive Producer on Adjacent Productions’ highly acclaimed Emmy®-winning unstructured docu-reality, Life Below Zero, as well as Port Protection (both on National Geographic Channel).

Prior to joining BBC Worldwide Productions, I worked across a variety of successful titles including co-Executive Producer, The Wild Within (Travel Channel), supervising producer, Ice Road Truckers (History) and Black Gold (truTV), producer, Gourmet’s Adventures with Ruth and Gourmet’s Diary of a Foodie (both on PBS), story producer, Deadliest Catch(Discovery), as well as co-producer on the documentary feature Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me and producer on feature film All That Remains.

I have been honored with three Daytime Emmy® nominations for my work on Gourmet’s Diary of a Foodie and Gourmet’s Adventures with Ruth, and the 2011 James Beard Award for his work on The Wild Within. Additionally, I received two Silver Medals at the New York Festivals TV Broadcast Awards, the 2007 Banff Award and two James Beard nominations for Gourmet’s Diary of a Foodie.
